just some pictures

It was so nice outside today..well still is, so why not just sit outside and play in the very overgrown grass in our backyard? So here are some pictures from the boys playing…more like Ethan playing with Jack and Jack staring him down most of the time.

Ethan’s fishing field trip

Today Ethan had a field trip with his class to the NC Wildlife Resources Commission fishing  ponds on Old Raeford road.  It’s a pretty neat program, where you get issued a fishing rod and some worms and can go crazy fishing- good practice for  the real deal. Ethan was so excited this morning that he got up on his own half an hour early, got ready and sat on the couch with his backpack on for just about half an hour waiting to go to the bus stop!!! If we wouldn’t have stopped him he probably would’ve waited at the bus stop that whole time-silly boy! Parents were invited to join in on the joys of fishing, so I packed up Mr.Jack and headed out, what was not too good for Jackson- it overlapped his naptime, so now I’m dealing with the consequences- a grumpy discombobulated baby. All the kids had such a blast and it was quite funny to watch the adults dodge the fishing hooks flying trough the air going every where and what direction.

HAVING  FISHING FUN Ethan did just about got to lift two fish out of the water, but just after we got them above the water surface , they fell right back in the pond! I would imagine that by now those fish are pretty smart, since it is “catch and let go” place. So Ethan was not all that happy about that. He is back in the process of learning that it’s o.k. to not win at all games you play and it’s not a big deal if some your friends got a fish and you didn’t- oh the joys of parenting. But overall it was nice to see my little guy on a school day and just relax outside and do something fun.

Mothers day

Mother's day is almost over and what a good day we had- just relaxing and spending time together. Aaron did get called into work in the morning but it wasn't an all day deal- thank goodness!! After he got back we pretty much spent rest of the afternoon cooking out some yummy food and just being silly. Although no one was as silly as Ethan- while Aaron was at the company, he was watching some funny songs on YouTube and all sudden he mooned me!!!! Got all into the song and MOONED ME!!!!! As much as I wanted to laugh my head off , punishment was in pace so he's grounded from his video games for 3 days- not a happy camper, but that will teach him a lesson, wouldn't want him starting doing those kind of things at school or anywhere else in public.

This years best gift was Jack's laugh out loud session, I did take two videos..or so I though, but finds the other one...well I didn't push the button right, but the first one will do. He's starting to really laugh just about anything now. it's so amazing to see Jack's personality come out more and more, he's quite a character already. I am so blessed and privileged to be a mother of these two amazing children!!!!!

been a while

So it has been a while since I blogged!!! But our computer completely gave out 2 days ago and before that for about a week it was not acting right, so to post anything would've been a huge hustle. So we bit the bullet yesterday and just went out and got a new one. We still need to take the old one to a shop to get the pictures and videos out of it- all 4 years worth of them!!! I'm pretty sure that we will be able to get them out (all my fingers are crossed). In a near future we are gonna go trough all of the pics and decide on our favorite ones and print those out, so if anything ever happens with the computer and it crashes to the point of no return we at least have hard copies of our favorite pictures. It will be a huge project but it needs to be done.
